WHO WE ARE
Ever since Kharono Michelle Carol was a child she has questioned the status quo and fought her way to political influence despite the old boy network in power. She is one of the youth engaged in the project.
This project is nothing without strong voices for democracy!
Voices of people who work for social justice in their communities, inform and debate, study the ACDEG, and push for action.
But who are they?
They are especially young people, working hard to create positive changes for democracy in their respective countries as well as across and beyond borders, regionally and at the AU level. Meet some of them here!

The power of connection
Jonas Ndunguru believes in the power of connection Learn more about how he works to push for the implementation of the ACDEG.

Policies for the people
Kharono Michelle Carol Is not happy with politics as usual. She says we need “policies that favor the people”, and the ACDEG helps her push for those very policies.

Will not be stopped
Njenje Chizu is a journalist and activist. He has been beaten and arrested, but that does not stop his critical journalism and fight for a more democratic Africa.
Who the organizations are
This project has seen a lot of skilled and passionate people from a range of organizations come together to work toward stronger democracy, peace and prosperity across Africa. A thank you goes out to each and every partner for their contributions and hard work.
